New Moon in Capricorn

The Moon catches up with the Sun at 5°51′ Capricorn on 27 December 2027, 20:14 UTC. Both bodies stand at the same degree, which is what a new moon is: the Moon is between us and the Sun, its lit face turned away, invisible from the ground.
