New Moon in Pisces

The Moon catches up with the Sun at 9°41′ Pisces on 28 February 2025, 00:46 UTC. Both bodies stand at the same degree, which is what a new moon is: the Moon is between us and the Sun, its lit face turned away, invisible from the ground.

Traditionally this is the start of a cycle rather than the end of one — the point at which something is begun quietly and without much evidence it will work. The water quality of Pisces colours what is being started: the beginning is felt rather than decided, and it will make sense emotionally long before it makes sense on paper.
