New Moon in Virgo

The Moon catches up with the Sun at 0°23′ Virgo on 23 August 2025, 06:07 UTC. Both bodies stand at the same degree, which is what a new moon is: the Moon is between us and the Sun, its lit face turned away, invisible from the ground.
