Saturn turns retrograde in Aries

Saturn comes to a standstill at 2°01′ Aries on 13 July 2025, 03:59 UTC, and begins to move backwards against the fixed stars.

Nothing is actually reversing. Retrograde motion is a perspective effect: Earth and Saturn are on different tracks at different speeds, and for a stretch of weeks we overtake it — or it overtakes us — so it appears to slide backwards across the sky. Astrologers have read that apparent hesitation for two thousand years, and the reading has stayed roughly the same.

Saturn governs structure, limits and consequence, so its retrograde is a review of what you have built — which commitments are load-bearing, and which are merely habitual. The station itself is usually the most noticeable part: motion slows to nothing before it changes direction, and things governed by Saturn tend to stall, repeat or need redoing in the days either side.
